The Importance of Disciplic Succession

एवं परम्पराप्राप्तमिमं राजर्षयो विदुः ।
स कालेनेह महता योगो नष्टः परन्तप ॥

“This supreme science was thus received through the chain of disciplic succession, and the saintly kings understood it in that way. But in course of time the succession was broken, and therefore the science as it is appears to be lost.”
Paramparā preserves truth.
Śrī Purusottama Dāsa Ṭhākura stands within that sacred chain. Through humility and service, divine knowledge was carried forward intact.

“In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the names of Kṛṣṇa. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Kṛṣṇa Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions.”
Śrī Purusottama Dāsa Ṭhākura dedicated his life to this saṅkīrtana movement.
To honor him is to chant. To remember him is to deepen our participation in congregational glorification.
The Standard of Pure Devotion

यतो भक्तिरधोक्षजे ।

“The supreme occupation [dharma] for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service unto the transcendent Lord. Such devotional service must be unmotivated and uninterrupted to completely satisfy the self.”
This verse describes the life of a saint.
Unmotivated service.
Uninterrupted remembrance.
Steady attachment to Kṛṣṇa.
Śrī Purusottama Dāsa Ṭhākura embodied this standard.
The Mood of Humility in Bhajana

“One who thinks himself lower than the grass, who is more tolerant than a tree, and who does not expect personal honor but is always prepared to give all respect to others can very easily always chant the holy name of the Lord.”
